OUR APPROACH
Privacy by collecting less.
Many websites collect large amounts of information simply because a person loaded a page. Blipped Technologies takes a different approach. The public portion of this website is intended to provide information about our company and services without requiring visitors to surrender personal information as a condition of browsing.
Our general principle is straightforward: if information is not necessary for the site or for a service that a customer has specifically requested, we do not need to create a permanent record of it.
This policy explains the distinction between anonymous public website activity, temporary technical processing, preferences stored on your own device, direct communications you choose to initiate, and records that may be necessary when you are an actual Blipped Technologies customer.
Simply viewing the public Blipped Technologies website does not cause us to intentionally create a persistent personal profile about you.
PUBLIC WEBSITE
Browsing without identifying yourself.
You can browse the public pages of the Blipped Technologies website without creating an account, providing your name, entering an email address, supplying a phone number, or submitting other personally identifying information to us.
We do not require a visitor registration system for access to our general company information, service descriptions, pricing information, or other normal public content.
We also do not intentionally associate ordinary public page views with a customer record, marketing profile, sales profile, or advertising identifier.
NO PASSIVE PROFILING
Information we do not intentionally save about public visitors.
For ordinary public website visitors, Blipped Technologies does not intentionally maintain a persistent database of:
- Your browsing history across the Blipped Technologies public website.
- A list of individual pages that you personally viewed.
- Your advertising interests.
- A behavioral or marketing profile tied to your browser.
- Your precise geographic location.
- Your contact list.
- Your photos, files, microphone data, or camera data.
- Cross-site browsing activity.
- Social-media activity.
- Advertising identifiers created for targeted marketing.
- Personal information for resale to data brokers, advertisers, or marketing companies.
We do not sell or rent public visitor information, and the site is not designed around monetizing visitor data.
HOW THE INTERNET WORKS
Temporary technical processing is different from storing a visitor profile.
A website cannot be delivered without some information being processed temporarily. When your browser requests a page, normal internet infrastructure must receive enough technical information to send the requested content back to your device.
Depending on the network and software involved, this may temporarily include information such as an IP address, request headers, browser capabilities, requested URL, connection timing, or other information necessary to establish and complete the connection.
Blipped Technologies does not treat this ordinary technical processing as permission to create a persistent behavioral profile of public visitors. Our goal is to use technical information for delivery, reliability, security, and troubleshooting rather than for advertising or individual surveillance.
Your device and our server must exchange technical information for the website to function. Our policy is not to turn that necessary exchange into a long-term record of your personal browsing behavior.
YOUR DEVICE
Preferences may be stored locally in your browser.
Some website preferences are saved in your own browser so the site can remember how you want it to behave. This is different from sending a personal profile to Blipped Technologies for permanent storage.
For example, the website may save your selected light-mode or dark-mode preference locally on your device. This allows the website to remember your chosen appearance the next time you visit.
Local browser storage remains under the control of your browser. You can remove it by clearing site data through your browser settings.
We do not use the theme preference as an advertising identifier, and it is not intended to identify who you are.
LIVE SITE STATUS
Anonymous live-user counting.
The website includes a lightweight operational feature that allows Blipped Technologies to see approximately how many browsers currently have the site open.
This feature is intended for real-time site operations, such as determining whether visitors are currently online before performing maintenance or requesting a site-wide refresh.
The feature uses a randomly generated browser identifier for heartbeat purposes. It is not intended to contain your name, email address, phone number, customer identity, advertising identity, or the contents of pages you view.
Presence information is designed to be short-lived rather than a permanent visitor history. The operational display is concerned with a count of active browsers, not with identifying individual people.
The browser identifier may be stored locally in your browser so repeated heartbeats from the same browser can be counted as one active browser rather than many separate visitors.
ANALYTICS & ADVERTISING
We do not build the public site around surveillance analytics.
Blipped Technologies does not intentionally use the public company website to create detailed individual behavioral profiles for advertising.
We do not intentionally use the public site to:
- Sell visitor information.
- Deliver behaviorally targeted advertisements.
- Retarget visitors with advertising based on pages they viewed here.
- Track a visitor across unrelated websites.
- Create demographic or interest profiles from public browsing activity.
- Measure individual visitor behavior for resale to third parties.
If Blipped Technologies materially changes this approach in the future, this policy should be updated before or when such functionality is introduced.
HOSTING & INFRASTRUCTURE
Service providers may process technical traffic to deliver the website.
Like virtually every internet service, the Blipped Technologies website relies on servers, networking providers, domain infrastructure, security systems, and related technical services.
Those systems may necessarily process network information in order to route traffic, establish encrypted connections, mitigate abuse, provide the requested web page, or maintain the security and reliability of the infrastructure.
Our use of infrastructure providers does not change our policy that ordinary public browsing should not be used by Blipped Technologies to create a persistent marketing profile about an individual visitor.
Technical information may also be retained temporarily when reasonably necessary for security investigation, troubleshooting, service reliability, fraud prevention, or defense against malicious traffic.
WHEN YOU CONTACT US
Information you intentionally send is different from passive website tracking.
If you choose to contact Blipped Technologies by email, the information you place in that email is necessarily transmitted to us. This can include your email address, name, business information, message, and any attachments or other information that you voluntarily provide.
That communication may be retained as part of normal business correspondence so we can respond to your request, discuss a potential project, provide support, maintain a record of an agreement, or otherwise conduct the business relationship you initiated.
This does not mean that simply visiting the website causes us to collect that information. The information is provided because you chose to communicate with us.
CLIENT PORTAL
Customer records are not anonymous visitor tracking.
Blipped Technologies provides protected functionality for actual customers. When a person has a client account, we may need to maintain information required to operate that business relationship.
Depending on the services being provided, this can include information such as:
- Account authentication information.
- Customer or business identity information.
- Websites or services associated with the customer.
- Invoices and billing records.
- Service requests.
- Infrastructure records related to services Blipped Technologies manages for the customer.
- Operational records needed to provide, secure, support, or document the contracted service.
These records exist because a customer has an account or a business relationship with Blipped Technologies. They are not created merely because an anonymous visitor opened the public website.
Our statement that we do not maintain persistent profiles of ordinary public visitors should not be interpreted to mean that Blipped Technologies keeps no business records for its actual customers. Customer records necessary to provide contracted services are a separate category.
RETENTION
We aim to retain only what has a reason to exist.
Anonymous public browsing is not intended to produce a permanent Blipped Technologies visitor history.
Temporary technical information should exist only for as long as reasonably necessary for the function that required it, such as delivering a request, measuring current site presence, troubleshooting an issue, maintaining security, or investigating abuse.
Customer and business records may be retained for longer periods when they are necessary to provide services, maintain billing or accounting records, document business transactions, handle support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect legitimate business interests.
SECURITY
Data minimization is also a security measure.
One way to reduce privacy risk is to avoid collecting unnecessary information in the first place. Our approach to public visitor data is therefore part of our security philosophy as well as our privacy philosophy.
Blipped Technologies also uses technical and operational controls intended to protect systems and customer information from unauthorized access, alteration, misuse, or disclosure.
No internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. We therefore cannot promise absolute security, but we can limit unnecessary collection and use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the systems we operate.
CHILDREN
This is a business-services website.
The Blipped Technologies website is directed toward businesses and people seeking professional technology and website services. It is not designed as a service for children and is not intended to solicit personal information from children.
YOUR CONTROLS
Browser and device controls remain available to you.
You may use your browser's privacy settings to clear local website data, restrict storage, delete saved preferences, or control other browser behavior.
Clearing local site data may reset preferences such as your selected light or dark appearance and may generate a new anonymous live-presence identifier on a later visit.
POLICY UPDATES
If our practices change, this policy should change too.
Blipped Technologies may revise this Data Policy when the website, infrastructure, services, legal requirements, or data-handling practices materially change.
The date near the top of this page indicates when this version was last updated.
If a future feature introduces a materially different type of visitor tracking or data collection, this policy should be revised so visitors can understand the new practice.
